Dear Students,

As Fall 2020 semester programs and courses are primarily being delivered remotely/online, we are committed to continuing to provide many online services to support your academic and personal success. We will work hard to meet your needs by phone, online, and using tools such as Blackboard or Microsoft Teams to maintain a virtual, personal connection.

Our aim, as always, is to support your health and well-being. We will adjust our plans and offerings in response to changing conditions and your feedback.

We understand this is a challenging time. If at any time you need immediate personal support or counselling, you can access the Good2Talk Helpline at 1-866-925-5454, or use Therapy Assist Online, which provides online and mobile tools.

Academic and Learning Supports

Accounting Centre

The Accounting Centre services are available by using the Live Support link via our website or by email at  In addition, the Accounting Centre also provides services using Blackboard Collaborate Ultra webinar room. You can use this service by clicking on the following link:

Our hours of operation are:
Monday to Thursday: 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Saturday: 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.


The Bookstores at North and Lakeshore Campus are open Monday to Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and closing at 4:30 p.m. on Fridays. The stores will be sanitizing all high touch areas regularly throughout the business day.  All customers must wear a mask or face covering while in the store. Sanitizer will be provided at the entrance.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, at the North Campus Bookstore there will be a maximum of 26 students allowed in the store at one time. Traffic flow will be monitored upon entry and exit. In order to provide minimal contact service, online order pick up will be handled at the window outside the store. Please be sure to have your identification and order number ready to expedite the process.

For the Lakeshore Campus Bookstore the maximum number of students allowed inside the store at one time will be 6.  Online order pick up will be handled outside in the display window at the front of the store, on the east side of the Residence building. 

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the buyback program has been temporarily suspended.  Neither the North nor Lakeshore Campus Bookstores will be able to perform any buybacks at this time.

Open Learning Centre

Parking and Lockers

For the Fall semester, daily parking at all campuses is complimentary to all students and employees who need to attend the college. Parking permits will not be sold for the Fall semester. Information about student and employee parking permit sales for the Winter 2021 semester will be posted/announced by November 1, 2020. 

Lockers will be available and are free for the Fall 2020 semester. Students should follow the regular locker rental process on MyHumber Services. Completing a payment is not necessary. 

Peer Assisted Learning Support

All of our programs: Peer Tutoring, the PASS program, Learning Skills Workshops and Notetaking are offered online and are ready to support you. Financial Need and IGNITE Bursaries (available for Domestic and International Students) 

Financial Need Bursaries are available for students who have a proven financial need. Bursaries are awarded on an individual basis upon consideration of expenses, income, family support, part-time employment opportunities, academic standing, and personal circumstances. 

Application Process: Students who wish to apply should email and outline the basis of their financial need. Students will be asked to complete a budget form and write a short statement outlining how the current situation is affecting their finances 

Award amount: Based on individual requests/need. 

Our student engagement coordinators and staff are working remotely to advocate on behalf of students as well as investigate alternative means of supporting your journey for the remainder of the semester.

Athletics & Recreation

Humber Athletics Fitness Centres Reopening: Pilot Program

During the coming weeks, Humber Athletics will gradually re-open the athletic centres at the North and Lakeshore Campuses. This pilot program includes a phased approach with residence students being the first. At the conclusion of the initial reopening phase, Humber and Athletics staff will review and assess the results of the pilot and determine next steps regarding broader access and services.

Phase 1: Week of September 14

The fitness centres will be open only to students living in residence on campus. 

Fitness Centre Protocols

To gain access to the Fitness Centre individuals must follow these protocols: 
- Residence students need to bring both their residence card and student card
- Come dressed and ready for your workout. Minimize the items you bring with you and avoid the use of changerooms and/or lockers
- Masks or face coverings are mandatory when entering the fitness centre and when in common space. Masks may be removed when using the equipment
- When entering the Lakeshore Fitness Centre, students must present their completed Guardian App prior to entry
- Towel service and showers are not available at either location
- Follow all COVID-19 policies and protocols in place with respect to patrons cleaning their own equipment, physical distancing, and directional signage and flow
- Fitness centres are limited to 30 guests at any one time
- Fitness Centres will be closed from 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. for cleaning and sterilization

The Student Recruitment & Pre-enrolment Advising Services department is offering both email and phone pre-enrolment advising from Monday to Friday between 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Students who are interested in pursuing a full-time program at Humber can take the Humber Career Finder to narrow down their choices. The student can then connect directly with a Recruitment Officer who will help them figure out the best program that fits their goals, guide them on the admission requirements and develop a detailed plan of action for their future.

We want to provide you with the best student experience possible, especially during this tough time, which is why we have waived our social engagement fee for Fall 2020 for all students, while still hosting the events and social opportunities you love.

The residence remains open with limited occupancy for the Fall term. Residence accommodations will only be available for students who must be on campus for academic purposes in the Fall term, as well as students with exceptional circumstances who have no other accommodation options. We will continue to maintain a waitlist, and encourage students to apply and add themselves to the waitlist as if a space becomes available that they are eligible for, we will offer on a first-come, first-served basis.
