The Transition to Work Program strives to empower individuals with disabilities by facilitating successful career paths and equipping them with effective strategies. Engaging in events such as the upcoming symposium on Wednesday, May 15 provides students with valuable insights and access to resources essential for their workplace readiness.
All students and staff, or faculty, who advise them are invited to join us for this free online symposium to learn about:
- Myths and misperceptions about workplace accommodations.
- The Job Demands and Accommodation Planning Tool (JDAPT).
- Rights and responsibilities of employees and employers when a disability is disclosed.

We encourage you to share this invitation with students and colleagues across campus.
Who should attend?
- People with disabilities.
- People going into jobs in the public sector, unionized environments, business management, human resources, etc.
- People who provide career advising services to students and alumni.
A draw will take place during the symposium for a $500 Everything Gift Card! Humber College, University of Guelph-Humber and Seneca Polytechnic students and alumni are eligible to win. Winner must be logged in to the event when the draw takes place.
