As you may know, one of our Lakeshore residence students passed away early this morning. I know I join the entire Humber community in expressing my deep sadness at this tragedy.

Humber is working with Toronto Police Services to support their ongoing investigation. Please be assured that at no time was there a public safety risk to the community.

To all Humber staff,

As you know, full-time and partial load Ontario college faculty are now on strike, including those that teach at Humber and the University of Guelph-Humber. As a result, we have made the decision to suspend all full-time, continuing education, online and corporate training classes at Humber and Guelph-Humber.

Good morning and welcome to the 36th annual President’s Breakfast. This is a special year for Humber: we’re celebrating our 50th anniversary and the many great achievements from this year and the last half-century. We’re also looking ahead to initiatives that will inspire and motivate us to maintain our leadership role in Ontario postsecondary education for the next 50 years.

It’s a great thrill to welcome the Humber family back as we begin the new academic year. I hope you’ve had a great summer and found time to relax and enjoy the season.
