There’s Still Time in SFQ Season!

November 16th – December 8th is SFQ Season for 14-week courses!

Student Feedback Questionnaires (SFQs) invite students to provide anonymous feedback on their learning experience in each course each semester to support our shared commitment to ensuring the quality of our academic programs at Humber. Student feedback is anonymous and confidential, and is not used to evaluate your job performance.

Please review these important points about the Fall 2024 Student Feedback Questionnaires (SFQs):

  1. Instructors, please schedule 20 minutes of in-class time when students will complete the SFQ. This ensures students are aware of the SFQ, and have time to answer them. Consider stepping out of the class during this time to allow students to have peace of mind when answering their SFQs. Sharing an example of how this feedback has helped improve course content provides an example for students of what to provide feedback on, and that their voices are heard.
  2. Instructors must enable the SFQ in Blackboard following this process (Visual instructions for adding your SFQ into Blackboard are available here, if you prefer!):
  • Select “Books & Tools” (Details & Actions, left course content menu)
  • Click “+” next to “Student Feedback Questionnaire”
  • Once added to the course content, make the SFQ visible for students.

As a thank you for sharing their perspectives, students who complete the SFQ are eligible to enter into a Prize draw. The Grand prize winner can choose between an iPad or an iPhone. This SFQ contest started on November 20th and ends on December 20th, with the draw for the iPhone or iPad happening on January 3rd, 2025. The deadline to pickup your gift is January 13th, if you’re the lucky winner!

Please Note: As a thank you when more than 50% of the students in a faculty member’s course complete the SFQ, the faculty member is automatically entered into a raffle for an on-campus food services gift card, or service at the Humber room.
