The implementation of the HLOs benefits students through knowledge, growth and skill building and helps employers identify the quality of the Humber graduate in the job marketplace.
Throughout your learning journey at Humber, you will have many opportunities to gain valuable employability skills and attributes. Humber Learning Outcomes (HLOs) demonstrate our commitment to developing career-ready citizens. No matter which program you choose, you will graduate with the employability skills, mindsets, and values that will benefit you throughout your career and your life. Embedded within each curriculum, you will have many opportunities to gain experience in these attributes as a value-add to program-specific knowledge and skills. HLOs can be identified by symbols derived from Humber’s connection to the Humber River and its rich Indigenous history.
As you prepare to graduate, the HLOs will help you stand apart in the job application process by, for example, helping you design a professional portfolio or prepare for a job interview. The HLOs will help equip you with the language to describe your value as an individual with not only deep technical knowledge but also the broad skills and competencies that position you to lead and innovate in your chosen field.
