Accessible Learning Services invites you to attend Transitions to Success, a tailored event for learners with disabilities at Humber College and the University of Guelph-Humber. Join us for interactive workshops covering communication skills, stress management, essential learning skills, and assistive technology. Don't miss our insightful panel featuring our Student Ambassadors sharing their personal journeys and strategies for success.

Transitions to Success

Date: Wednesday, August 21, 2024 

Where: Humber College, North Campus 

What to expect:

  • Prizes and Giveaways: Receive SWAG items and get a chance to win 1 of 6 gift cards valued between $100 and $500.
  • Workshops: Learn how to access academic accommodations, effective communication skills, strategies to deal with stressful times, and how to navigate support services to achieve academic and personal goals.
  • Food: Enjoy lunch and delicious treats.
  • Keynote Speaker: Meet Maryanne Oketch, Winner of the 42nd season of the reality TV competition series Survivor

ASD Day

Geared toward students who identify as living with an autism spectrum disorder.

When: Friday, August 23, 2024 

Where: Humber College, North Campus

  • Connection: Small group setting. Meet other new like-minded students and build a supportive community.
  • Interactive Sessions: Explore various topics related to communication and interaction in postsecondary.
