On March 17, 2021, the global community learned of eight people, including six Asian-American women, killed in shootings at three spas in Atlanta, Georgia. Humber College stands in solidarity with Asian communities against all forms of violence, misogyny and discrimination. Senseless violence is just that – senseless. Recently the Humber community was reminded of this with the passing of student Hashim Hashi, 20, in a tragic incident near his home. We are saddened and sorry to learn about this loss and our thoughts and condolences are with his family and friends.
