Senseless violence is just that – senseless. Recently the Humber community was reminded of this with the passing of student Hashim Hashi, 20, in a tragic incident near his home. We are saddened and sorry to learn about this loss and our thoughts and condolences are with his family and friends.  
 
Representatives from Humber have been in touch with his family and after receiving their consent, we are able to share this news with you now.

Laurie Rancourt’s Retirement

After 25 years as a leader in Canadian higher education, Laurie Rancourt has decided to retire at the end of 2021.

We have been fortunate to have Laurie’s leadership as Humber’s Senior Vice-President Academic (SVPA) since 2014. Laurie is known for her passion for skills development and innovative learning, deep knowledge of Canadian postsecondary education, and her thoughtful and compassionate approach to people and issues.
