Art Description (What inspired you to create the artwork?) Illuminate within is an abstract piece which portrays the resilience and hope within ourselves during any hard situation. The challenging circumstances we face throughout our lives are represented by the earthy brown backdrop. The vibrant blue green flame at the bottom of the piece signifies the glimmer of hope and strength persists deep within us which gives the strength to pierce those challenges and guide us out of the difficult situations. This flame is like a beacon of light which disperses the darkness around us. This piece shows a frozen moment of the gradual process of illumination within. The fainted yellow pattern visible throughout the piece visually narrates the moment when the darkness around us shatters and as a result, light infiltrates illuminating a path to overcome the hardships. This piece tries to address the minds of the audience to be confident about the resilience of their inner flame of hope and strength to triumph over the difficult circumstances.
