Art Description (What inspired you to create the artwork?) This piece is of my aunt Marie, who is 82 years old. This picture was taken during an interview of her about her glass art. She showcases some of her art to me, while showing me around her house, looking at washrooms covered in glass art, and giant pieces of art made over 25 years ago. While she struggled with daily tasks, she effortlessly was able to cut pieces of glass while even I struggled to cut it. It was a unique experience of learning all the stories behind each piece of art. This art piece showcased in the image was a perfect piece of art to describe her art style; bold Colors and nature inspired. She expressed her love of plants and how she created each and every piece revolving around nature and plants/animals. I was honored to learn about my artistic aunt, and to be able to showcase her and her art.
