Original Piece
In early spring, i was walking through the woods in northern Ontario. As i walked i couldn't help but notice everything was dull , the dead leaves, dead trees, lack of colour due to the melting snow. I was overwhelmed with feelings of numbness and dullness. I took a moment to breath and as i looked at my feet i saw the smallest mushroom standing about a 1/3 of an inch tall. It was a beautiful neon orange/red colour. In that moment i felt joy and remembered that perspective is everything. This beautiful tiny mushroom reminded me that theres always positives within the negatives and sometimes were too consumed with the bigger picture or plan that we forget about the beautiful micro details in our lives.
