Title of Artwork: After the rain
Art Description: The inspiration that went into creating this artwork was the depression that came with covid, lockdown, and the addition of seasonal affective disorder that accompanies the winter months. Unable to go anywhere or see anyone and no longer being able to go outside created a mindset of being trapped without room for creative motivation. Once the spring months start rolling around and life starts to bloom again in the figurative and literal sense, hope and creativity grows with it. The image of this small sprout represents the beginning of the ending of lockdown and the mental effects that came with it. A new season of growth, creative inspiration and clarity of the small things that deserve more attention, blurring the past unhealthy practices in day to day life.
