Title of Artwork: Sleepless
Art Description: What inspired me to create this painting is that I wanted to depict the feeling and effects of insomnia through the concept of abstraction & deconstruction. I wanted to explore this theme, to capture the feeling of being awake whilst feeling like your mind and body is shutting down or very sleep deprived. Due to the fact that I struggle with acute insomnia, due to irregular sleep schedules. With this portrait I’m able to express what going to sleep everyday feels like for me.
