Title of Artwork: Letting Go
Art Description: As an indigenous man I've always identified with the West Coast Salish indigenous story of the raven. This piece was about me learning to let go of something I wanted. I had developed feelings for a classmate-represented by the India's national flower, the Lotus-who didn't/couldn't return my feelings. I had struggled to come to terms with the fact that the relationship I wanted wasn't one I could have and so I created this piece as a way to let go of my feelings. The two of us united in art could never meet in life.
