Creating Psychological Safety: Foundations for Trust and Open Communication
This workshop is designed to empower leaders to mobilize knowledge within their teams, fostering understanding, inclusivity, and a supportive community. In this session, participants will explore how to support themselves and other community members whilst dealing with evolving and disruptive factors.
During this 90-minute engaging and informative talk, discussion, and community reflection, Tenniel, the facilitator of the session, will define and identify psychological safety and the impact of community care.
Guest Speaker: Tenniel Brown
Since 2001, Tenniel Brown has been committed to providing accessible and transformative support services to individuals, families, and groups from diverse communities across Canada. She applies tremendous passion and skill to assisting organizations to develop an understanding, formalize policies and drive strategic development on Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) topics. Tenniel is an accomplished facilitator, speaker, clinical supervisor, and educator. She is a registered psychotherapist and certified Hatha Yoga Instructor. Tenniel earned a Bachelor of Arts in Human Development Studies from the University of Waterloo, and a Master of Social Work degree from Wilfrid Laurier University. Tenniel has an extensive and diverse occupational background including leadership, teaching, training, counselling, and clinical supervision in various academic and public institutions.
