Join us virtually on October 17, 2024 for the first offering in The Office of EDIB Collective Action Learning Hub Series! This interactive workshop is designed to help post-secondary staff and faculty deepen their understanding of Emotional Intelligence (EI) as a critical tool for fostering inclusive, equitable, and supportive campus environments.

Through self-reflection and discussion, this session will explore how empathy, self-awareness, and emotional regulation can be leveraged to enhance classroom interactions, address implicit biases, and support the well-being of students and staff.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Understanding EI in Higher Education: Use Emotional Intelligence to promote empathy and inclusion in daily interactions in higher education/at Humber.
  • Empathy and Bias Awareness: Explore strategies to identify and challenge intersectional biases and develop self-awareness.
