TORONTO, ONTARIO – Humber Polytechnic has been recognized as one of Greater Toronto’s Top Employers for 2025, an annual benchmark by Canada’s Top 100 Employers that highlights excellence in workplace practices. 

Winners are evaluated based on workplace, work atmosphere, social, health, financial and family benefits, vacation and time-off, employee communications, performance management, community support, as well as training and skills development.  

Over the past year, Humber Polytechnic has launched several transformative initiatives, reinforcing its commitment to training career-ready citizens, providing inclusive education, and creating a thriving, healthy community. These efforts have significantly contributed to the success and satisfaction of students, employees, and partners.

Some of the initiatives that led to this recognition include:  

Top Marks for Employer Satisfaction 

  • Achieving a 96.6 per cent Employer Satisfaction rate and 83.6 per cent Graduate Employment rate, the highest among Greater Toronto colleges. Work-integrated learning opportunities with industry partners ensure students graduate career-ready and in-demand.  

Gold STARS Sustainability Rating 

  • Secured a Gold STARS rating of 79 points, marking a 30-point improvement over a decade. 
  • Recognized for leadership in sustainability, equity, and well-being, ranking first in the Associate Colleges category. 

People(s) and Culture Management & Governance Survey 

  • Launched in partnership with McLean & Company to identify strengths, improvement opportunities, and resource gaps. 
  • Survey insights will inform Humber’s ‘People Plan’ and enhance services through actionable improvements and accountability measures. 

Humber's 2029 net-zero goal positions the institution as a leader in climate action among Canadian higher education institutions. Humber is setting bold sustainability targets and sharing open-source solutions to inspire global progress. By leveraging its expertise in fields like sustainability, creative industries, applied learning, sports, health, and advanced manufacturing, Humber continues to shape education and inspire positive societal change.
