New Year’s resolutions can be motivating and exciting, but you don’t have to wait for January 1st to take stock of your physical, mental and spiritual health.

At Humber College, wellness is a major focus, and students have access to programs and services year-round – and some of them may surprise you!

Get your calendar out and get ready to build your 2022 wellness plan at Humber.

Attend an online talk or workshop

Every month, Humber hosts free Wellness Talks and virtual presentations on wellness, burnout, positive psychology, and inclusion. Join an audience of students, faculty and community members to hear dynamic experts discuss sustainable wellness solutions.

At Humber, there’s a wellness resource for everyone. If a speaker’s series isn’t your thing, you might be interested in Mindfulness Mondays, a series of one-hour virtual workshops open to everyone in the community. Participants spend their lunch hour practicing mindfulness through yoga, meditation, or sound bath meditation.

Walk the walk

One of the best ways to improve your well-being is to spend time outdoors. Students, staff and faculty at the University of Guelph-Humber and Humber College can join Mood Walks on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Mood Walks for Campus encourage movement as a way to improve physical and mental health, and they provide a great way to explore North Campus!

Work it out

Humber’s North and Lakeshore campuses both have state-of-the-art fitness centres. The facilities offer exercise classes, personal training, health-related workshops and more.

Not sure where to start? Humber College athletic staff will ensure your questions are answered and share knowledge and research from the fitness industry.
