TORONTO, ONTARIO – Humber has partnered with local Toronto artist Ben Johnston on a mural that celebrates the college’s innovative Bring It recruitment campaign. Johnston also created the custom typography for the campaign’s wordmark.
The mural, a stunning visual representation of the Bring It campaign, is located at the heart of Humber’s Lakeshore campus, serving as a daily source of inspiration for the entire college community. Johnston's distinctive artistic style, which combines typography and dimensional designs, captures the essence of Humber’s commitment to providing a transformative and inclusive learning environment for all students.
“Partnering with Ben Johnston on this mural is a reflection of Humber’s approach to welcoming and nurturing all aspects of our students and encouraging them to bring their unique talents, passion and experience to Humber,” said Ann Marie Vaughan, president and CEO, Humber College. “With this artistic representation of our dedication to developing global citizens with the skills to lead and innovate, we are confident that the Bring It campaign will inspire a new generation of learners to choose Humber, and in return, we will bring our best to students, providing unique experiences and supporting their learning needs.”
Johnston, a Toronto-based artist, is well-known for his work in both the local and international art scenes. His portfolio includes collaborations with major brands and organizations, and his bold and innovative creations have garnered widespread acclaim. Johnston's partnership with Humber College demonstrates a shared dedication to fostering creativity, promoting self-expression, and empowering students to reach their full potential.
Humber's Bring It campaign is designed to resonate with prospective students by inviting them to proudly bring their unique selves to their post-secondary experience. The campaign highlights the energy and optimism of the college's inclusive environment and reflects a commitment to equip students with the knowledge, skills and experience necessary for success in a rapidly evolving world. The college's diverse programs, industry-leading faculty, and state-of-the-art facilities are hallmarks of how Humber brings this commitment to life.
