Humber Arboretum's 2nd Annual Winter Bird Count for Kids

A Bird Studies Canada Christmas Bird Count for Kids event

Introduce your kids (or yourself!) to the wonders of winter bird-watching with this special citizen science event for nature lovers of all ages and skill levels:

  • Learn about the birds you can see in Toronto
  • Get tips on bird-watching tools and techniques 
  • Learn about exciting citizen science projects from staff at Bird Studies Canada
  • Try hand-feeding our friendly chickadees
  • Take a walk with an experienced group leader and see who you can spot on the Arboretum grounds!

Bring binoculars and bird guides if you have them, but if not, don't worry! We'll have lots of loaners on hand.

When: Saturday December 9th from 10 a.m. to to 11:30 a.m.
How: This event is FREE but please register in advance on the Arboretum website to help us plan.
Where: Centre for Urban Ecology, Humber Arboretum, at the back of North Campus
