Rishabh Awatani

Rishabh Awatani (Rishi) is currently in his 4th semester in the Business Insights and Analytics course at the Humber International Graduate School. He has a degree in Computer Science from India, has worked as Integration Consultant for a well-established firm in Dubai and also held a role as a software engineer with a startup, 1-Platform, which is now one of the leading smart workplace solution providers in the MENA region.

As a part of the core team at 1-Platorm, he was pivotal in the design and development of product architecture. The CTO quickly recognized his perseverance as an indispensable asset to the organization. While developing and deploying systems that are data intensive, he became interested in learning ways to process and utilize that data using big data technologies. This appetite to further his expertise led him to the BIA post graduate certificate at the Humber IGS. During this program, he has honed his technical skills and gained knowledge in business, governance, ethical and security facets which will position him to succeed in his career path towards data engineering.

Rishbah was able to leverage his professional network to secure an opportunity with 1-Platform once again, but this time in the data analytics space. He is currently completing his internship with 1-Platform, working on an in-house analytics solution on the product to make it more data-driven to support its global initiatives. Upon completing his internship, his plan is to work on similar exciting projects with a diverse and driven team, utilizing his skill set to support organizational goals.
