Pedagogical content knowledge should include the process of tackling the biases and misinformation that obstruct social connections.

Why?

When fostering a sense of community, the rationales for discrimination and exclusion must be challenged.

Student-Student of Student-Instructor Interactions

Student-instructor interaction should involve opportunities for students to make choices about activities and projects.

Why?

One function of social connections is to scaffold students’ self- determination.
