On National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, also known as Orange Shirt Day, we honour the resilience of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis, and reflect on the dark and painful legacy of the residential school system in Canada. We remember the many children who were forcibly taken away from their families, and those whose lives were stolen from them. Today is an important and exciting day for Humber. At this morning’s President’s Breakfast, we announced our vision for our collective future and our new name – Humber Polytechnic – and brand, Builders of Brilliance; culminating the Humber Inspired work accomplished over the last year. Thank you to everyone who participated in helping to shape what comes next for Humber.
