International Women’s Day is special to me in many ways – it’s a day I celebrate as a daughter, as a mother, as a colleague, friend and ally. It’s a day for me to pause and reflect on how far we’ve come as a society, and to look at the road ahead, one that leads to a brighter and more inclusive future for all women.

It’s that time of the year when things slow down a little bit, when we can look back at all the things we’ve experienced together, and when we all can take a moment to appreciate those who make our lives special every day.

President's Message

On September 30, we observe the third annual National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Established to remember the horrific history of residential schools, it emphasizes the enduring impact these institutions continue to have on Indigenous communities. 

As well as the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, September 30 is Orange Shirt Day. This day is an opportunity for us to pay tribute to the survivors and reflect upon the children lost and the systematic attempts at genocide of Indigenous Peoples.
