At Humber Polytechnic and the University of Guelph-Humber, we work to challenge negative behaviours, attitudes and beliefs about sexual and gender-based violence. By doing so, we hope to reinforce Humber/UGH’s commitment to student safety and promote a campus culture in which there is ZERO tolerance for sexual and gender-based violence.

You can be part of this important work in the following ways:

Peer Wellness

Peer Wellness Education and Programs is here to support learners at Humber Polytechnic and the University of Guelph-Humber. Our mission is to promote mental, physical, social, and financial well-being through peer-led initiatives, resources, and support. We are committed to helping learners thrive across Humber's four areas of health, offering services like the Peer Active Listening Program, Consent Peer Education, and Wellness Workshops. If you're seeking support or looking to enhance your well-being, we're here to assist you every step of the way.

Bringing In The Bystander (BITB)

Bringing in the Bystander at Humber/UGH uses a community responsibility approach and a positive bystander model through the recognition of each individual as a potential bystander who can play an active role in preventing sexual assault and sexual violence. To date, our program has trained over 3000 students and 400 faculty members.

By participating in this two-hour workshop, participants will be able to define sexual violence, rape culture, and sexual consent; describe two or more strategies for intervening in sexual violence; identify barriers that may affect their decision to intervene; and develop empathy for survivors of sexual violence.
