Art Description (What inspired you to create the artwork?) My story explores how women face criticism from patriarchal ideals and a consumer-driven culture. The figure is depicted atop a flower, which symbolizes innocence and girlhood and gives the story a more feminine vibe. Among the chaotic swirls, the figure stands out as a sign of resistance against detrimental regulations that promote gender inequalities. I hope that by creating this artwork, I can bring attention to the ongoing fight against the degrading consequences of the male gaze.
