This piece is from a larger series about a small town near where I grew up. The town is nestled in a forest and has a timeless quality that feels unaffected by the world. In this shot, through the window of the local art gallery; is a family on a Sunday morning walk. I see the decreasingly sized windows as a representation of time, and what time the family members have left. The child who has the most time, chooses to take the path less traveled and enjoy the sun and the feel of the grass. Where the grandmother marches on only looking ahead. the parents are still, looking back and ensuring the safety of their child. to me this photo is a rare look into 4 different minds, and the lens they see the world through.
