Art Description (What inspired you to create the artwork?) I was inspired to take this photo after observing my uncle light a cigarette and being to smoke. By carefully watching him, I could notice how the smoke distinguished itself around the upper portions of his head and mouth. It suddenly dawned on me that I could capture high forms of contrast, depth, and emotion. I then took it upon myself to structure him in a way which allowed for a clear and concise image. This image was conceptualized and centered around one specific moment which led as a staple for what I wanted to capture in my composition. Thus, this is how i was able to imagine this photo within my mind before taking action and actually capturing it.
