Art Description (What inspired you to create the artwork?) As an International student, COVID-19 had really plagued our social interaction. So this New Year's Eve I decided to witness the fireworks that would be launched. Arming myself with my phone, I roamed around the streets of Toronto, absorbing it's beauty at night, reminiscing my first 6 months here and my first New Year Celebrations in the country.
After all the fireworks had ended, I saw CN tower's reflection on a building few meters away. This is when the picture was taken.

More than the tower itself, it looks like a torch, being held above us all, acting as an omnipotent, a shield, to protect us from all the harms and unhappiness. As a symbol of power.
What year was the artwork created? 2022
