Art Description (What inspired you to create the artwork?) This concept of identity has always been a topic of interest in my artworks. As an immigrant, growing up in two different culture and society, I am interested in exploring who and what influenced the way I am now. Moreover, the complexity of identity, including how it is constructed and how it is perceived, was discussed in one of my classes. There were discussions about representations and biases, about who gets to tell the stories of a people group, and that ultimately influenced the creation of piece.
