At the time in my life that I was creating this piece, I had felt defeated. For me it was difficult to think without my feelings clouding my judgement. I oftentimes use art as a tool to express myself, and through 'Tug of War', I was able to release the emotions that I had been unintentionally storing. The connection between the heart and the brain are so delicate and fragile but also so dangerous that they are connected. As the work is static, there is no way to know if they are merging together or moving further apart. This is left for the viewer to decide for themselves.
