Art Description (What inspired you to create the artwork?) This drawing was referenced from a promotional photo of the Park production of the play, Twelfth Night. I was not particularly inspired by the play itself, however I find that the photo depicts the dynamic between rue, jules and elliott quite well. Elliott is attracted to Rue, who is in a relationship with Jules and only considers him a friend, but has been gravitating towards spending time with him instead of Jules because he is an enabler for her addiction. Jules, on the other hand, is jealous of Elliott because she’s suspicious of Rue and Elliott’s relationship and also the fact that he developed a really close relationship to Rue out of nowhere.
