Art Description (What inspired you to create the artwork?) Art has always been the medium to express myself and to portray my inner feelings. Essentially, my art represents a heterogeneous mixture of what I am currently experiencing in this new country. This is a representation of myself, my inner potential, showing the world that there is more than I can do. As a newbie in this country, it also mirrors the challenges that I had conquered and the future challenges that I will be facing in the next phase of my life. Cliché as it may seem, but as the society becomes more culturally diverse, breaking barriers is becoming a hard task. The three dots of collage, (which are exceedingly different from the rest), symbolize the complexity of life’s adjustments from my previous to present life situation. Nonetheless, no matter how diverse life can be and how people see the world differently, this should not be a deterrent for every person to live his best life in a community.
