Art Description (What inspired you to create the artwork?) | A group of my friends took a road trip to Halifax this summer and we toured so many attractions, as one does. This is the one that stood out the most to me. The East Coast of Canada is known for their victorian era stye houses, and all the colours that come with them. This house was named Halifax's "Wedding Cake House" and was built in 1885 for the towns former Mayor. As we were appreciating the amazing colour and the history of this house, a local was walking by and gave us the run down of the house itself and events that used to occur there, although I don't remember everything they said, it definitely gave me goosebumps. My friends and I were in awe, and I could not help snap a picture and remember that moment forever |
