Art Description (What inspired you to create the artwork?) | I could define my art process as real. No over-the-top editing or dramatic concepts, just my subject and the camera in my hands. Especially when working with other people, I believe in the idea of giving them the freedom to give me feedback and working together to capture a great moment. This relates to the photograph I have taken, where I didn’t have an idea in mind but worked with my subject to find the perfect atmosphere and allowed him to pose in what was the most comfortable. In my eyes, being a photographer is more than capturing an image. It’s about being in the moment. I believe this Negative Space exhibition proved it. We were in the moment, and once we found where to shoot, my idea came to life. The idea of a single man exploring the great beyond and taking in the world around him. He’s posed naturally because I allowed him to be himself. Thus, it adds such authentic character that glorifies the whole mystery of what he has yet to see. |
