Art Description (What inspired you to create the artwork?) The portrait actually comes from a screenshot I took of my brother while we were on a FaceTime call during the pandemic. Being that he lives in Montreal, and interprovincial traveling was temporarily banned at the time, we would connect through calls or text, like many other people who were seeking connection with their loved ones in such isolating times. For that reason, I call this piece "A Distance Away."
