Art Description (What inspired you to create the artwork?) | The first painting I hand drew and painted is of Banda Singh Bahadur with his flag- He was one of greatest, inspirational Sikh warriors and he was considered one of the most courageous Sikh General in India. His goal was to put a stop to the cruelty of Punjab rulers, to fight for human rights, uplift and strengthen the poor, the low and slave such as people who could not even imagine freedom. He was also famous for his battles with the Mughals for human rights and is still greatly appreciated and remembered by many punjabis. |
