I couldn't sleep recently and chose to paint instead, but what I came up with didn't appeal to me. After a while, I decided to paint something new on top. I blended oil-based deep blue, crimson red, and orchid yellow with various degrees of white acrylic paint to create an eruption of colour. I left an uneven border of the original painting because I didn't want to cover it entirely.
Through this piece, I realized I paint out of irritation at times, and that's fine because there's a surge of new energy once I'm willing to move forward.
