It is how I unwind and feel at peace. Drawing is my quiet time. It is when I am the happiest, even if life is busy or tough. Picking who to draw takes me ages because I am looking for a picture that really speaks to me, one that shows some real emotion or tells a story. This portrait was not about finishing fast; it was about enjoying the drawing and making something I am proud of. With this portrait, I wanted to capture moments and feelings, both the person's in the portrait and my own.
