Art Description (What inspired you to create the artwork?) Lazy Bones aims to explore the struggle against mental illness—specifically depression. This piece is inspired by my personal experience of grappling and fighting with depression. It depicts a skeleton with a yearning heart being bound to a bed of yellow by blue vines sprouting out from his skull. The title, Lazy Bones, refers to the stigma often lobbed at people struggling with depressive disorders as being "lazy" or "weak."
