Art Description (What inspired you to create the artwork?) A big part of what drives me as an artist is my connection to the world around me. I haven’t found it easy to form relationships or communicate with the people who know me. Photography has helped me to do that. Making art is a very personal experience for me and I aim to represent that in my work. I like to think that when I take a photograph, the resulting photo is just as much a representation of myself as it is of the subject. Specifically in this image I wanted to portray how much of ourselves we put into our art. Every single person is unique, and every single piece of art was created because the artist cared about something. That means that every piece of art ever created is equally as unique. I don’t think it’s just the work that makes something meaningful, I think it’s the artist as well.
