Art Description (What inspired you to create the artwork?) This is a piece from my final project for Photography Fundamentals last semester. The shoot was based off the Studio Ghibli film 'When Marnie Was There', with my friend as the subject in the photos dressed as the titular character. I was inspired by the strong presence of the natural world in Studio Ghibli films and wanted to show the character immersed in nature in an interesting way. I also did some colour editing in order to make the photos more aligned with a vibrant animated colour palette. I shot these in and around Colonel Samuel Smith Park.
