Art Description (What inspired you to create the artwork?) I wanted to capture an image that evoked pride, beauty and cultural value represented through an appreciation for Canada's natural beauty and spirit. The flag blowing in the wind serves as an underlying symbol that regardless of our differences, the symbol of the flag is strong and brings people together through resilience represented by the wind blowing the flag. The background of the clear blue sky evokes purity and beauty in Canada's vast landscape. By showing natural pride, freedom and cultural unity, I wanted to display and capture Canada's identity to celebrate a diverse society through Canada's spirit and natural beauty.
