While you’re setting up your video and audio before joining a meeting, select Background Filters. It’s just to the right of the mic switch.
Your background options will display on the right. You can also replace your background with one of the images provided, or with one of your own choosing.
To use an image of your own, choose Add new and navigate to where you downloaded the background image. Make sure it’s a .JPG, .PNG, or .BMP file. Your new background will persist in all your meetings and calls until you change it again.
To turn off background effects, select None.
How to Change Your Background During a Meeting
To alter your background after you’ve already joined a meeting, go to your meeting controls and select More ... > Video effects and settings.
Select Standard blur to blur your background, or choose from the available images to replace it. To upload an image of your own, select Add new and navigate to where you downloaded the background image.
To turn off background effects, select None. You’ll be able to preview your chosen background to see how it looks before you apply it.
Select Virtual Background. Note: If you do not have the Virtual Background tab and you have enabled it on the web portal, sign out of the Zoom Desktop Client and sign in again.
Click on an image to select the desired virtual background or add your own image by clicking + and choosing if you want to upload an image.
How to Change Your Background During a Meeting
If you have already have Virtual Background enabled in the web portal, you can turn it on during a meeting.
In a Zoom meeting, click the upward arrow (^) next to Start/Stop Video.
Click Adjust background & effects...
In the pop-up, select a background image or upload your own image file by clicking the plus icon and choosing Add Image.
Select an image file from your computer. It will be applied immediately.
To keep this image as your background in future meetings, scroll to the bottom of the pop-up window and toggle "Apply to all future meetings" button.
