Pillars of Support

Academic Support

BSSE compliments existing academic services by providing students who identify as Black with additional resources. One example of this support is our Drop-in sessions where you can receive tutoring. We are always open to finding new ways of supporting the community’s academic pursuit. Consider offering your recommendation or your time as a tutor to help.

Leadership

BSSE offers opportunities to develop your leadership skills. Whether you are a volunteer, mentor or a Work Study Student, there is always a place for you to maximize your potential at BSSE. Contact us at bsse@humber.ca for more details.

Social, Personal and Professional Development

BSSE exits to create both a safe and strong space for students who identify as being Black. To that end, we host several workshops and key events geared towards enhancing your power! Two examples of such activities are; the Kings Gathering and the Queens Circle. Register and be empowered today and for the bright future that awaits you after college.
