Curriculum Design and
Planning: An Overview

Review material and think about how equity-deserving groups are represented and included.

Use an equity-lens and consider the perspective of Indigenous, racialized, disabled, 2SLGBTQ+ students and students marginalized by religion and/or poverty. Think it through for every identity and then consider the intersectional identities of your students.

Ask yourself:

  • What is the hidden curriculum in the courses I teach?
  • What is the null curriculum in the courses I teach?
