Note: CE/CPL HRAC G3 and HRAC G2 programs are being discontinued at present and may be offered in the future. Fulltime HVAC programs are unaffected.

The HRAC G3 certificate is currently being discontinued and the courses being offered are only for learners who are registered with Humber in the part-time program and in the process of completing the requirements for their HRAC G3 license.

Program Overview

The Gas Technician 3 (G.3) certification program provides training for individuals who want to qualify as a Gas Technician 3. The program, consisting of 180 hours, has been divided into three courses in order to modularize delivery. Each course consists of the required theoretical or practical components as outlined by the Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA).

Upon completion of the program and when the TSSA requirements are met, students are eligible to write the TSSA Certificate of Qualification Exam for Gas Technician 3. The TSSA requires that students achieve 75 percent as the final grade in each of the G3 courses, as well as maintain at least 80 percent attendance. 

With your G3 license you can work as a Gas Technician under the supervision of a valid licensed G2 or G1 holder.

All Faculty of Applied Sciences Technology Continuous Professional Learning courses in this program are being offered in an online virtual classroom unless otherwise specified (for example lab required components).

Those who successfully complete the program are eligible to receive a certificate of accomplishment from Humber College.
