GET THE CREDIT YOU DESERVE
Who is a Transfer Student?
A transfer student is someone who has completed courses or partially completed a program at a college or university and wishes to continue their studies at Humber.
If you identify as a transfer student, you may be able to use your previously completed credits or work/ life experience towards your Humber program. This may lighten your course load and prevent you from repeating similar courses.
Here are some of the reasons you should transfer to Humber:
- Transferring Credit - Get credit for your previous education by applying for transfer credits. College or university credits earned in Ontario, Canada or worldwide may be eligible.
- Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR) - You can also use work and life experiences to gain credit by applying for PLAR.Examples of where you can acquire learning include on-the-job training, community and family activities, non-formal learning outside of a classroom and more.
- Diploma to Degree Pathways - There are also several ways to power up your credential. With over 100 diploma to degree pathways, upsize your diploma with one of Humber’s 30+ degree programs.
- Scholarships - Furthermore, by applying to one of our degree programs, you may be eligible for the $2,500 diploma to degree or the $1,500 certificate to degree scholarship.
- Study Abroad - And with our international partnerships and study abroad opportunities use your completed Humber credential to apply to a variety of different graduate programs in Canada or beyond.
