Art Description (What inspired you to create the artwork?) I walked into the hall one night to a beautiful sight: my best friend happily creating with her oil paints. The light was gorgeous and it was a moment that I wanted to capture and look back on as a time when such sights were a part of our everyday worlds. The focus of the lamp's light on her hand, the brush and the oil palette is what really inspired this photo to be taken the way it was, as it is a beautiful natural framing of an artistic action so woven into human fabric. This is a portrait of a modern oil painter.
