Art Description (What inspired you to create the artwork?) This piece was inspired by cyanotype photographs of plants, as this was process used in the 19th century. This process is also used to make architectural blueprints. I wanted to show how plants can be a metaphor for technology, as they both have the same purposes: to communicate, to grow, to bear children, to evolve/breed new ideas, to encourage sustainability and diversity, and to never forget the past.
