Art Description (What inspired you to create the artwork?) ‘Lost at Sea’ is a three-dimensional acrylic abstract painting based on JMW Turner’s ‘Fishermen at Sea.’ I created this painting to depict the moment after Turner’s fishermen are swallowed by the sea. It speaks to the smallness of humanity in comparison to the vastness of the natural world.
